Christmas Time

Well I know that I promised to take some pictures of my Christmas decorations last week but Michael took the camera with him to Oklahoma so I was not able to take any pictures. He was gone for a few days with my dad to the big reining futurity horse show in Oklahoma City. He had a blast. It is nice to have Michael home again. I don't know how single mothers survive. It wasn't that the kids were hard it is just so lonely. You don't realize how much you need adult conversation until all you have is two year old to talk to most of the day. Here are just a couple of pictures of my Christmas Tree and Stockings. We also had Jamie Williams come over a take a few pictures of our family so I could get my Christmas cards done. The picture of my dad and the horse is from the futurity.

I love holidays!! They give you a great excuse to see lots of family and eat lots of FOOD. Two of my favorite things. We had a great day. We started our day by adding a new addition, Duke, to the Curtis Clan. Duke is a Victorian Bulldogge and he is the greatest puppy ever. Brody and Mike LOVE it. After getting the dog we headed over to grandma Curtis's house for lots of yummy food. Then we headed to my grandma Loudens to say hi and then it was off to my mom's house to finish the day with turkey sandwiches. We were all exhausted when we got home.

Today I spent the day putting up some Christmas decorations I will post some pictures later after Mike is done with the lights out side. We are not sure what we will do tonight. Chances are good that it won't be much. But until next time here are a few pictures from yesterday.

Happy Birthday Dad

For my dad's Birthday we headed out to the ranch and rode horses, had a BBQ, and made smor's what a fun night. After the kids had each had a turn riding, my dad decided that it would be fun for him, guy and Mike to all race. Let's just say I am glad that we have life insurance!! I have never laughed so hard. On the first race Mike lost one of his stirrups and almost fell off but his horse was not going to loose so Mike just had to HOLD ON for his life. The other races were fun to watch but not quite as life threatening. I love this time of year with so many things going on. Now I just need to start Christmas shopping. I know what I want to buy for everyone I just need to go to the store and do it!!

sick kids

Well this past week has been pretty uneventful except for dealing with sick kids. On Thursday at 4:30am Brody woke up throwing up and Tate is teething so he has a constant runny nose and is having a REALLY HARD time sleeping at night. So other than cleaning my house like crazy to try to prevent the house from coming down with the flu I have been stuck in my house trying to be a good mom.
Tate's new favorite thing is his exercauser he loved to play in it and Brody has now learned how to climb up on the counter in the bathroom and lounge in the sink. Sometimes that kid makes me laugh. Well Tate is crying so I need to try and get him down for a nap, so thats all for now.

Halloween and the weeks before

I know it has been forever since I have posted but this time of year is so BUSY! We have been having a blast doing all sorts of activities. Some of the things we have been busy doing include; going to the schnepf farms pumpkin and chili party with the Wagners, going to Tanner's 5th birthday party, watching Sydnee dance at the state fair, carving pumpkins with the Curtis family, and HALLOWEEN.
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays with all the little kids dressed up in their cute costumes. Tate was a cow and Brody was a cowboy. While we were getting ready Brody decided to show his terrible 2 side and refused to get into his costume. With a little bribery I was able to get him to wear his chaps and boots but the hat, gun and spurs were a no go. We went to Mikes parents first were we ate hotdogs and chili and trick or treated a bit then went to my mom's house and did a little more trick or treating and played with the cousins. Brody thought it was great that all the doors were giving him candy. I was a little sad about Brody's costume until I saw Brynlee without no costume either. Sometimes you wish they didn't have an opinion at that age but I guess they have to learn about agency some time. Here are a bunch of pictures from a few of the activities we have done recently.

Playin at the Park

Since it has finally cooled off a bit here, Angie and I met at the park and let the kids play. Halle and Brody LOVE to play with each other. It is nice that Angie moved out here to Queen Creek so now I don't have to drive an hour to see any of my family. I can't wait until my parents build their place out here.

Tate was enjoying just chillin in the shade.

Brody and Halle Playing together
Brody loved this fake ATV.
Halle had to wear her sunglasses so she could be just like her mom.

Well on Sunday Tate got his first haircut. I was so reluctant to cut all his baby hair off because it makes me sad to see how fast he his growing. But since his new hair was growing in and he still had a few long strands left from when he was born we decided that it was time. I think his haircut makes him look older and more like Brody. On Sunday Karen Ammon said that she thinks that Tate looks like me. I was so excited since Brody looks so much like Mike I was hoping that Tate would resemble me a little bit.

Saturday morning Brody went with Mike to help him finish planting winter grass on my dad's pastures. After 3 hours of riding on the tractor he was too tired to even eat his lunch!!!

On Friday Mike and I took the kids to the Mountain View football game to watch Ashton cheer and Kevin play football and Brody was being so good when all of a sudden during half time Brody throws up everywhere. Good thing the stands weren't full and it didn't get on anyone but how embarrassing!! I just wanted to tell everyone that he showed absolutely no signs of being sick before the game. And actually he was fine afterwards he never threw up again or even had a fever. Needless to say we left that game in a big hurry.
Today we had the carpet in our family room replaced and boy was that an ordeal! Books can only entertain a two year old for so long. It took them 3 hours to do ONE room. I tried to keep Brody away but he was so interested in what they were doing. They were probably a little annoyed but oh well!

This week in Pictures

Brody thinks that he is my little helper when I do the laundry so yesterday he decided to climb on in with the clothes.
Since Michael's birthday was on Sunday I had everyone over and made the whole bunch dinner. Brody and Tate had fun blowing out dad's candles. Since Mike is now a HUGE "office" fan Angie got him the second season on DVD. I told him that Melin would be so proud. Doesn't that picture of Tate look so funny. He looks so serious.

sad day

Well today we had to go to the doctor for shots. Brody had to get 2 and Tate had to get 4. I made Mike meet me there after work so that both kids could have someone to hold them. Lets just say my little ones aren't feeling so great today. Tate went to bed at 7:00 and Brody took a very long nap. So I might not get to bed until late and I might be up extra early. Oh well, I guess that is the joys of motherhood.
Mike's birthday is in a few days and I am having the hardest time figuring out something fun to get him. I ask him what he wants and the fun things he wants are all way out of our price range right now. One day we hope to have a rhino and a toy hauler but those days just are not here yet. He is always so creative with the gifts he get me and I get into these ruts and give him boring gifts. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very appreciative.
Angie is pregnant again. This will be number 2. I am hoping for a boy. That way my boys will have another male cousin to play with. Although if the Adair pattern continues she will have a girl. She is due in May so Tate and her baby will be almost exactly one year apart. Well other than that my life has been pretty uneventful with nothing to complain or brag about.

Birthday Fun

Well I am the big 26! I know the cake says 29 but I am only 26 the store was out of 6's when Mike went to buy the candles so he thought he could just turn it around but the wick was not all the way through. Brody loved blowing out the candles. I had my two favorite things to eat, cafe rio and dairy queen ice cream cake. The day was great and full of lots of fun surprises.

Two Peas in a Pod

One thing I have learned being a mom is, when your child is being really quiet he is usually up to no good. This is what I found this morning. I thought he was watching a movie with Michael and Michael thought he was with me. We were both wrong!!! I decided that I could either laugh and take a picture or yell at him and put him in time out. Since it was Sunday and he looked so cute I decided to do the first.
Tate is now rolling over. He doesn't do it all the time but he has done a couple of times. I am not sure I am ready for him to be mobile.
I just thought this picture was cute of my two trouble makers.
This is what we found moments before we were suppose to be leaving for church last Sunday. Brody was not happy when we woke him up to go.
This picture posted in the wrong place but I thought it was funny so I kept it on. Brody thought the shaving cream was lotion so he just kept rubbing it in all over and didn't understand why it wasn't absorbing in. Brody is always doing something to make me laugh out loud.

Peaches and Pears

Well it was canning day today. My mom, Angie, Shannon and I spent the day at my mom's house canning peaches and pears for our year supply. We got a ton done but we had planned on doing jam also. Since we had been there since 8:30 in the morning my mom said she would do the jam tomorrow without us. She is a saint. She already made raspberry jam on Saturday. Or maybe she just wanted Brody and Halle to stop tearing up her house. The kids where so good until the last little bit when Brody found the lemon pepper in my mom's pantry and within seconds had it poured out everywhere. Then he started crying because he was tiered and need a nap. Tate on the other hand slept for 4 hours. That kid can sleep through anything. We found Brody, Halle and Brynlee all crotched around him giving him kisses and he still kept sleeping. What an Angel. Last week I got the kids there Halloween costumes, Brody is going to be a cowboy and Tate is going to be a cow. I can't wait. I love the holidays. Well until next time.

UPDATE

Great news, I found my ring. I was cleaning yesterday and on my vacuum I have some extra attatchment hoses and as I picked on up I heard something in it and turned it over and there was my ring. I would have never thought to look in the vacuum attatchments. Brody sure did find an interesting place to put it. I was just so excited to have me ring back. Other than that my life has been pretty uneventful I just spend my days watching my kids and doing things around the house.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good-
For Labor Day my family all went up to my parents cabin at Mormon Lake. We had a blast riding quads, riding horses and just relaxing. It was so nice to get out of the heat for a few days. The best was the amazing rain storm we got on Friday. I love when it rains in the mountains. Here are a few pics of our trip.

Brody loved when Mike would give him rides on the quad, ranger and horses.
Mike and Tate relaxing on the swing
Ashton and Tate in the Cabin
Brody playing outside. He was outside from sun up to sun down. He was so sad to leave. Doesn't he look old in this picture. It makes me sad to see how fast he is growing. He is changing from a baby to a boy over night.

The Bad-
Last week I found out that Tate has reflux so now I have to pump 4 times a day and add rice to all of his milk. If this doesn't work then I will have to start him on medication and really don't want to do that.

The Ugly-
Well on Thursday I made a HUGE mistake. I left my wedding ring on my night stand and Brody got to it. We are not sure where it is but hopefully we find it soon. If not I will have to get a fake diamond because right now the funds are not available to buy a new ring and I don't think I want a real one until my kids are older so this NEVER happens again.

My Boys

Look at those eyes. Tate has the biggest eyes ever.
Brody was pouting about something and I thought it would make a good picture.
I was finally able to catch Tate smiling. My camera has an awful delay and I always miss the perfect moment. But I finally got one.

Big Boy Bed

Well Tate is now too big for the bassinet so we had to make the BIG switch. Brody was moved into his big boy bed. Mike and I where dreading this move because we just knew that it would be a trial. Well we were right. After 2 nights in his bed he finally figured out that he could get out of his room. Since then this has been our nights, one night he climbed between Mike and I and started coughing and next thing I knew he threw up all over the place. The next night he came in our room and some how climbed underneath our bed and couldn't get out so at 4:00 in the morning we were trying to figure out where the cry was coming from and then we had to get him out from underneath the bed. The next day he came in a fell asleep on the ground next to the bed, great until Mike got up at 5:00 and tripped on him and he was up for the day. Well this morning he came in at 4:21 and decided that it was time for all of us to get up and play. Mike was lucky and got to go to work. I however had to be home with him and by 6:30 he was so cranky I thought I was going to go crazy. He is now finally down for a nap at 10:45 and I am going to go and take a shower because I do not know when I will get another chance today. I have to keep telling myself that it was my choice to be a mother and I LOVE it!!! I really do have two of the cutest kids ever it is just these transition stages that are so difficult!

Brody Turns Terrible "2"

Well The Party was a Huge success. Everyone had a Blast. I love this picutre of Halle. Look at that diaper. That is why swim diapers were invented!!!! Brody was having so much fun we were barely able to pull him away to open his gifts.

I am not sure if Brody or Michael liked the slide more. Mike was a little kid on that thing.

Grandma and Grandpa Adair gave brody his tractor.

All the kids had a blast. And we had great weather for the party it didn't even hit 100 yesturday.
Brody's favorite thing on earth is doughnuts so instead of cake and ice cream we had doughnuts and milk.

Days of our lives

Well it has been an eventful couple of days here in Arizona. and for the first time ever, I think, I am glad that I live in Arizona right now. Our 100 degree temperatures don't seem so bad when you have almost no humidity compared with the rest of the country that is suffering from high temps, high humidity, and no AC. So no more complaining from me. On Tuesday Mike decided that he wanted to try and cut Brody's hair, I have tried before and vowed never to do it again, Michael actually did a good job. After that we went to the ward social. It was a swimming party at the local Junior High. It had a beach entry pool and Brody loved it. I was so mad that I forgot my camera!! Yesturday Tate had his two month doctors appointment. Brody was scared when we got there because he thought that we were there for him. Tate is now 14lbs. Yes he is in the 90% for his age. What can I say, I produce cream instead of milk. Saturday is Brody's 2nd Birthday I rented a huge water slide so hopefully is will be fun. Well that is all that I have going on right now but I will take pictures at the party.

Newport Beach

Our little family at Knott's Berry Farm.
Me and Tate
My three Boys. Aren't they cute!
The cousins playing ring around the rosies.

Newport beach was such a blast. Here are a few pics. I made them small so I could put more on . I will have to figure out how to do a slide show like Melinda one of these days. Brody loved the beach and was constently covered in sand. We went to Knott's Berry Farm one night and had a ton of fun riding rides and playing games. Mike won Brody a stuffed Taz. The cousins had a blast playing with eachother. Keeping up with three two year olds was tiring. Brody thought it was fun to steal the girls toys and run away. Vacations with the family are the best.

I hate July in Arizona

Well I know that it has been a while since I updated my blog, I wish I could say that I have been so busy that I just had no time to but truthfully other than an eventful trip to Walmart not much has happened. That is until today. I was at Angie's house getting my hair done and Halle and Brody were playing. Those two love to egg each other on. Between pouring baby lotion all over Halle's room and drawing on the walls with crayons (good thing they were washable). I am sure Angie was more than happy when we finally left. I am so excited to leave to Newport on Saturday. I need a break from the heat. We can't even go to the park because the equipment is to hot to play on. Brody is getting so sick of playing inside. Tate is growing more every day. It is so unfair, I am fat and ugly for nine months and they grow so fast once they get here. Jamie here are just a couple of recent pictures of the boys I took today just for you!!!
