October Break

I am so excited that the two weeks of fall break are almost over. Why? This has been my conversation with Brody almost EVERY day this week, "Mom, do I have school today?" "No, not today" "Well then do I have a soccer game?" "No" "Is it Sunday?" "No" the poor kid is bored out of his brains and the little park by our house is only giving him so much enjoyment. So on Friday, Angie, Amy and I decided to take our kids to Superstition Farms for their Free day. Well I think everyone heard that it was free so the place was packed. The kids loved feeding the goats, going on a hay ride and getting free milk to drink. Afterwards we headed to get lunch and everything was going great until at the end Tate dropped his ice cream cone on the ground and had a melt down when I threw it in the garbage (I think I might use the 5 second rule a little too much at home). So as I am leaving the restaurant with Rex in one arm, Tate screaming in the other and Brody following close by I notice all the looks I am getting and I think to myself, why do I choose to be the freak show every time I go out in public? They all fell asleep in the car and when they woke up Brody and Tate were so excited to tell Daddy about their fun day at the farm. And, since Tate forgave me and Brody wasn't as bored as he had been all week, I guess you could call the day a success and just maybe I will try to have another FUN day with my kids but just maybe .

The kids LOVED feeding the animals

This goat became Tate's best friend

This is me trying to get a picture with all my buddies

Brody loved the cows and never once complained about the smell

Tate of course LOVED the Tractor
