Fast forward a few years, last week, Molly had a baby boy and decided taking care of both would be to overwhelming (I completely understood her feelings). So when she called us we agreed to take him back. Same dog just a new name. Meet Ham, my boys new best friend. And actually he is working out great. He is HUGE but he is so nice to the kids and he has calmed down a ton. Molly did a great job training him.
Growing up I would have thought of myself as an animal lover but now that I have my own home, I am much more like my mom and would have choose to have an animal free home, but when something makes your kids as happy as this I decided to put my own preferences aside to make my family happy just like my mom did countless times.

Oh man... I am dreading the day Kyle asks for a dog. Maybe I can be a nice mom like you, but I just don't see it happening!
