The Bear went over the Mountain

Last week Brody participated in the 1st grade play "The Bear Went Over the Mountain" and he did so good. A few days before the play Brody brought a letter home explaining that we needed to provide a costume for our student and we could choose from a hiker or a few other desert animals and birds. Well I decided that Brody would be a hiker. I told Brody that he was going to be a hiker and he immediately got sad and told me how he really wanted to be an animal or a bird. He caught me at a weak moment and I had a flash back of when I was in elementary school and my mom made me an amazing duck costume, so I agreed to make him a cardinal costume. There is on big difference between my mom and I, she is extremely crafty, I am not! This bird costume took me FOREVER! But boy did he stand out on stage. Most of the other moms must have had the same thought as I first did and made their children be hikers. At least Brody loved his Wings and maybe some day he will feel guilted into making some crazy project for his kid one day! My kids have the Greatest Grandparents, Grandma Curtis came and watched Brody the day before when he performed at school but I forgot to take a pictures and my parents came and watched him when he performed at night. They really do show my kids how much they are loved!
