Newport with the Adair Clan

We just got back from our second and unfortunately our final Newport trip of the year. This time we spent the week with my family. We had so much fun. We arrived in Cali. on the fourth so that night we were up at the park waiting for the fireworks when a bunch of kids started rolling down the hills and Brody wanted to join in. We let him and he did it TONS of times. I really wasn't thinking anything of it until a few minutes later when Brody was done and all he wanted to do was sit on my lap. After a few minutes on my lap he went to play and then all of a sudden he came running up to Mike crying and then threw up. I guess you could say that Brody got his mom's stomach when it comes to going in circles. No more rolling down the hills for Brody. We spent a couple of days just relaxing at the pool. Brody loved learning how to play Marco polo with his cousins. On Monday the men all went golfing and then when they go back the girls all went and got pedicures, then we went and got lunch and then we found sprinkles and got plenty of cupcakes to share with the kids. We all liked the cupcakes but we really didn't feel that they were that much better than the ones you make with a cake mix. one of my favorite parts of the week was staying up till 11:00 watching the bachelorette and seeing how sad my mom was when she picked Jesse instead of Jason. It was so funny how into it she was. On Tuesday we went to Disneyland. This was the first time I have been since having kids. It was so much fun to see my boys love all the rides. Brody was so brave and did every ride that he could. He even did Space Mountain with me. Although at the end of the ride he told me that he did not want to do that one again. Our last ride of the night was thunder mountain railroad and by the end Brody was even putting his hands up on the drops and fast parts. He told me that that was his favorite ride. Tate had a blast on the Dumbo ride and pirates of the Caribbean. Our family sure was a site with all the double strollers coming down the sidewalk in a line. All three of my boys were so good and now every morning Brody asks me if we can go back to Disneyland. Rex just enjoyed everyone loving on him the whole week. On this trip Brody realized how cool Tanner was and wanted to spend every minute with him either sword fighting or playing golf, he followed him around everywhere and Tanner was nice enough to let him. Wednesday came way too fast and now we are back to the heat and the everyday chores. We are now counting the days till next year and our next trip back to the wonderful weather and fun times at California.
