Easter Wrap UP!

For Easter this year we changed things up a bit and headed to the cabin for a few days. The kids loved it, and I hope we do it every year. Friday we dyed eggs, had an easter egg hunt and my mom had a treasure hunt for the kids to find their Easter baskets. I loved the treasure hunt because at each "clue" part of the Easter Story was told so the kids learned a little bit more about the true meaning of Easter. Saturday morning we woke up to SNOW it was cold but so pretty.

We headed home Saturday and had a BBQ and Easter egg hunt with the Curtis Clan.

Sunday was really low key, the Easter bunny visited the kids, followed by a fun day at church, and finishing up at my mom's house for a yummy Easter Feast. This Easter couldn't have been any better, I really made an effort to focus more on the real meaning of Easter and let the other stuff only be a side part, making this year a little bit more spiritual and a lot more Chirst centered like it should be.

Every year Mike gives me tulips for Easter. This is my favorite tradition probably because it was the first tradition we had as a couple. When we were dating and I was up at BYU and he was in AZ he sent me tulips the day before Easter and every year since I have received tulips from the greatest husband ever!
