Halloween 2009

Halloween this year was really low key for us but we had a lot of fun. This year was the first year that I couldn't talk my kids into a theme for their costumes. Brody and Tate were both so excited to pick out their own costumes so I decided that if they loved their costumes that was all that really mattered anyway. When we went down the isle at Wal Mart Brody immediately saw the ninja turtle costume and knew he had to have it. Tate saw the big muscles on the Power Ranger costume and knew that was what he wanted. Although he has NEVER watched it before in his life. I tried to convince Tate to also be a Ninja Turtle and then we could have Rex be the Rat but there was no changing his mind. On Halloween I tried to put a chicken costume on Rex but he broke out in the biggest tears ever. Brody told me I was being mean and needed to change his costume, I agreed and changed him into a peter pan costume instead, he wouldn't wear the hat but he still looked really cute. We trick-or-treated around our neighborhood and then headed to some friends house to watch a scary movie on their big screen out side. It was a fun way to start out the crazy holiday season!
